Animal Rescue Fund's Adoption Policy
It may take at least 72 hours after submitting an application for ARF to process and check references. Fill out the application completely and honestly, and skipped answers could lead to a delay in the application processing time. ARF requires all animals in current care to be spayed/neutered prior to adopting an ARF animal unless deemed unsafe by a veterinarian. All animals in current care must be vaccinated as directed by a veterinarian. All animals in current care must be on flea control and heartworm prevention as directed by a veterinarian. In some cases ARF may require a home visit. ARF reserves the right to deny ANY adoption. In the event that you adopt and are unable to keep an ARF animal for the entirety of its life, it will need to be returned to ARF. Current Adoption Prices as of 3/29/2024: Kittens: $130 Cats $90 Senior cats $60 Some specialty breeds have higher adoption fees. Puppies (up to 10 months) $300 Adults (11 months - 11 years ) $200 Seniors $140 Some small breed or specialty breeds have higher adoption fees.
