Grammy's Story
Grammy is a brown tabby diva with the soul of a retired librarian and the face of an old lady who has seen things. At about a year and a half old and a petite 7.6 lbs, she’s proof that some cats are born with wisdom, side-eye, and very strong opinions.

She’s a bit slow to warm up—Grammy doesn’t hand out affection trophies on the first date—but give her time, patience, and respect, and you’ll earn a very exclusive lifetime achievement award: her trust. Once she decides you’re worthy, you’ll see glimpses of her softer side beneath that perfectly grumpy exterior.

Grammy is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations, so she’s all set to settle into her next chapter. She’s looking for a calm home with someone who truly appreciates classic charm, dry humor, and a cat who prefers quality companionship over quantity. If you love a cat with personality, boundaries, and major “don’t touch me unless invited” energy, Grammy may be your award-winning match.

No red carpet required—just a cozy couch and someone who understands that grumpy is a love language.

Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!!

Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, ($25-125 +TAX) special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
