Gracie- Differently abled, completely perfect!'s Story

Meet Gracie 💕

Gracie is one of those cats who steals your heart within minutes and then keeps it forever.

Before coming to us, Gracie suffered a thoracic spinal fracture that was unfortunately missed by a veterinarian, which resulted in permanent neurological damage. Because of this, she drags her back end and is not weight-bearing behind. But please don’t let that fool you, it does not slow her down one bit. Gracie scoots, plays, explores, and lives her life with joy and determination. She has fully accepted her body, and honestly, she expects you to do the same.

What truly defines Gracie is her personality. She is hands-down one of the most loving, affectionate cats you could ever meet. She seeks out affection, melts into your arms, and radiates sweetness. She bonds deeply with her people and absolutely deserves a family who sees her not for her disability, but for the incredible cat she is.

Gracie does have some special care needs. When she’s out and about, she wears a diaper. While she can urinate on her own to some extent, she has limited control, so her bladder is expressed 2–3 times a day to ensure she fully empties and stays healthy. Once you learn the routine, it becomes second nature and Gracie is very tolerant and trusting during her care.

She loves treats, gets excited for playtime, and enjoys being part of the action. And as if her heart wasn’t enough, she is also absolutely gorgeous, the kind of cat you stop and admire, even when she’s just snoozing.

Gracie is resilient, joyful, affectionate, and so incredibly deserving of a perfect, understanding home that will cherish her, care for her needs, and love her as fiercely as she will love them in return.

If you’re looking for a cat who will change your life, not despite her differences but because of them, Gracie is waiting 🐾💛
