Gracie's Story

Gracie is a domestic short haired, gray and white, spayed female kitten with an estimated date of birth of the first week of July 2025. Gracie is the presumed sister to Fifi and Squeakers who were live trapped from the same location in rural Becker County, MN, at approximately 5 months old. Gracie spent 2 months in a temporary foster home where she was handled every day and became well socialized, affectionate and attention seeking. Gracie did have exposure to and supervised encounters with two 60-pound dogs and did well.

Gracie is the more time of the 3 cats although she will seek out pets and attention and definitely is a lap cat once comfortable with you. Gracie enjoys watching birds and bunnies from the window. Even though Gracie spent the first 5+ months outdoors and fending for herself once she was weaned from mom, she is deserving of an indoor only home where he is safe, fed and receives vet care. Her adoption fee is partially sponsored by her rescuer.

Spayed; current on vaccinations including rabies; feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus negative; dewormed; and litter box trained.

Far North Feline Rescue's Adoption Policy
Initial contact is usually made via email. Potential adopters are asked to provide basic information such as if they rent or own their residence; have any other pets in the household; have any children in the household; and if they are an established client with a veterinary clinic. Answers to these questions help us determine the best fit for them among the cats available for adoption. Then a meet and greet is set up for that cat in the foster home where more questions can be asked, and the adopter and cat interaction can be observed. Our adoption process is NOT that the first one to contact us is the one who gets to adopt the kitten/cat, and that can be difficult for certain potential adopters to accept. Our goal is to put the kitten or cat in the right home the first time. We allow for a 2 week trial period and the cat or kitten can then be returned to us without judgment and the adoption fee refunded.
