Gordo's Story

Meet Gordo! He was transferred to us from Boston Animal Control after his owner lost their housing. Gordo is 1-year-old and previously lived in a home with eight other cats. Here at the Shelter, he has been friendly and affectionate with all of our volunteers and staff members. He loves being patted. Gordo would likely do well in most homes and may enjoy a cat companion after a proper introduction. He is neutered and fully vetted so all he needs now is a new home.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application at https://www.medfieldshelter.com/adoption-forms/cat.

If you are ready to adopt, please fill out an adoption application. We offer same-day adoptions, so if the cat is a fit, you can take them home the day of your meeting.

If a cat is listed on our website, it is still available for adoption, but applications may have been received before yours.

All adoption meetings are by appointment only. The adoption fee for cats seven months to two years old is $250 for one cat and $350 for a pair; for cats three years to ten years old, it is $200 for one cat and $300 for a pair; and for senior cats 11 years and over, it is $125. The fee includes age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, microchip testing, testing for FeLV and FIV, and spaying/ neutering.
