Gord's Story

Gord 🧡
Age: 3 years old
Estimated birthday: February 3, 2023 (as estimated by our veterinary team)

Gord is also one of the 22 cats who were abandoned in the depths of winter this past January. Despite such a difficult start, he has proven to be an incredibly sweet, gentle soul.

Gord is a big, dopey boy who just wants to be pet. He is a professional floor-flopper — the moment you approach him, he dramatically throws himself onto the ground for belly rubs. It’s impossible not to smile.

He’s a true tomcat at heart: happy to sleep the day away and then come out to socialize in the evening. He has a lovely, easygoing temperament but can still be a little nervous around loud noises or quick movements. With calm energy and reassurance, he settles in beautifully.

Gord absolutely loves Percy, and ideally, we would love to see them adopted together. They share a strong bond and bring comfort to one another.

He would likely do well with other calm male cats. At this time, we are not certain that a home with female cats would be the best match for him.

🩺 Health Information

Gord is:

✔️ Neutered

✔️ Microchipped

✔️ Vaccinated (received his first FVRCP vaccine and rabies vaccine)

✔️ Dewormed (one round so far)

After surviving abandonment in the coldest part of winter, Gord deserves a peaceful, loving home — ideally alongside his best friend, Percy. 🧡

--

Gord 🧡

TNR La Pêche's Adoption Policy
At TNR La Pêche, we have a thorough adoption process to ensure that each cat finds a loving and responsible home that meets their needs. Adoption Process: 1. Application Submission – Potential adopters must complete an adoption application, providing details about their home, lifestyle, and experience with pets. 2. Application Review – Our team carefully reviews each application to ensure a good match between the adopter and the cat. 3. Interview & Discussion – We may contact applicants for a follow-up discussion to clarify details and ensure they understand our adoption policies. 4. Home Environment Consideration – We require that all adopted cats live indoors only to ensure their safety and well-being. 5. Meet & Greet – If the application is approved, adopters have the opportunity to meet the cat and ask any questions before finalizing the adoption. 6. Adoption Agreement & Fee – Approved adopters sign an adoption contract agreeing to provide proper care, and they pay an adoption fee that helps cover veterinary expenses. 7. Transition Support – We provide guidance on introducing the cat to their new home and remain available for post-adoption support. Our goal is to ensure the best possible match for both the cat and the adopter, leading to a successful and lifelong adoption.
