Goldfish's Story

Meet Goldfish! <br/>Goldfish is a wonderful kitty and we are looking to find him the perfect home. Goldfish's history and age are a mystery. He is believed to be an 11-year-old male neutered orange tabby. Fish was found in an apartment complex with a face injury. No one realized the medical journey that was going to follow. Goldfish needed his eye removed, full mouth extractions and to be neutered. Goldfish recovered from the surgeries well but continued to have GI issues. We tried everything! We ended up having to do an abdominal exploratory surgery but it was inconclusive, we couldn't find a reason for his problems. With a total of 3 surgeries and more trial and error, he is finally doing amazing on a prescription diet (Royal Canin Satiety Canned). We would like for his new family to continue feeding him this diet. On this diet, he has not had problems in over 6 months. He is also taking a compounded medication called urosdiol for his gallstones. He also takes pain meds for a paw injury that may lead to surgery, but we would like to get his surgery done before adoption. Goldfish is the most snuggly kitty we have ever helped. He demands to be carried around and will head butt you the entire time. He will also put his arms on your shoulders and hug you. He would be a perfect lap cap because he knows no personal space. It took Goldfish a while to trust other animals but with a slow introduction, I believe he could find the right furry friends. He adores cleaning our special needs kitty. Goldfish could be your best friend and never-ending company. Please help us find Goldfish the life he deserves!
