Gnocchi's Story
Rescued from an overwhelmed outdoor colony, the six “Potato Kittens” were brought in by a trapper who couldn’t stand the thought of them growing up outside in a place already stretched thin. They’re shy at first, but spending time in our cat playroom — plus weekly socialization from our amazing Mount Carmel student volunteers — has helped them blossom. They love toys, tube treats, and gentle patience.

All six boys tested FIV+, but because they’re still so young, they may test negative when retested around 6 months old. Even if they don’t, FIV+ cats can live long, healthy indoor lives — we have one in our office right now who’s thriving.

Their honorary “brother,” Hash Brown, came from a different colony around the same age and immediately fit right in.

These kittens would thrive with adopters who are willing to sit with them, play with them, and give them the time they need to bond.

Solid black and silky soft, Gnocchi has become a volunteer favorite. This sweet boy melts like a limp noodle in your arms and loves being held and snuggled — especially by our volunteer Beth. He’s gentle, cuddly, and an old soul in a kitten body.

If you'd like to meet me, stop by Jefferson Feed (corner of Jefferson Hwy. and Central Ave.).

Adoption Fee is $100/each or $150/pair. We like our kittens to have friends so we want a pair adoption if you have no other pets unless we know a specific kitten prefers to be alone. All kittens are Spayed/Neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines, FeLV/FIV tested and microchipped.

DOWNLOAD our Adoption Application here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ahiajf6e6i0ox2hdl09jk/JSPCA-Application_2.0-Newest-Updates.pdf?rlkey=be9he1julh02etikl021k9plk&dl=0

All adoptions subject to approval.
