I found myself at Chicago Animal Control after my beloved owner passed away - it was a sad and confusing time but I am SO happy to be with ARF now. I know they will help me find a forever family to spend the rest of my days with. The shelter listed me as a senior girlie, but the vet thinks I am much younger - like 5 or 6! I’m healthy and playful - what more could you ask for?<br/><br/>Although I arrived with my sister Mittens, I sort of like having undivided attention so I’m looking for a home of my very own. You see, after what I’ve been through, I just want to find my people - the people I can give my happy chirps to and who don’t mind if I give them kisses every night - and I don’t want to share them with any other kitties!<br/><br/>I currently live with two young children and I’m gentle with them (but my favorite people are the grown ups). I may also be tolerant of cat-savvy dogs who understand that I like to be in charge. If you have a cozy space, a sunny window and room in your heart for a snuggly little sidekick, I would love the chance to be your loyal companion. With a bit of patience and a lot of love, you’ll soon find yourself wondering how you ever managed without me in your snuggle squad.<br/><br/>Gizmo is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.<br/><br/>Her adoption fee is $135.
