GIZMO #1915 - Offered by Owner - Young Calico's Story
Gizmo is very affectionate and playful. She loves springs and strings, and also loves wrestling with other cats and humans. She does have a tendency to “play bite” when wrestling with people but she doesn’t mean any harm. She’s an indoor cat and gets along well with other dogs and cats. She can be a little shy with strangers, but with some time she warms up and becomes very affectionate.

Gizmo likes cuddling and falling asleep next to people, and will occasionally follow you around. She can be vocal at times, and likes to perch on people’s shoulders and use them as her “Uber” around the house.

Unfortunately I have to find a new home for Gizmo because one of my roommate’s cats does not get along with her. When I moved in and they were first introduced to his cats, 2 of the 3 did fine, but one of them would not stop relentlessly attacking her no matter what we tried. She’s had her fur ripped out, her face has been scratched and bloody multiple times, she’s been cornered in the litter box and scared so badly that she even peed herself when attacked. She refuses to eat or drink and won’t leave my side unless my roommate’s cat is in a cage.

My roommate is far too attached to let go of his cat, and while Gizmo and I share a deep bond, (she basically sees me as her mother since I rescued her at 3 weeks old) it feels too selfish of me to keep her here in a state of constant fear and stress. She deserves to live a normal, stress and danger free life in a loving home. Gizmo's rehoming fee is $110 and she lives in Vancouver with her owner. Gizmo is an indoor only cat.

For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.
