Gio (loving cat) owner passed away 's Story

+1 (407) 963-4584 ADOPT GIO- a gray and white VERY LOVING CAT who needs a great home after his owner passed away.
HE may be shy at first but once comfortable will be your constant shadow -following you around the house -and wanting attention with head bumps.

This adoption is NOT through Furry Nation Salvation and is a Courtesy Post. Please call the individual listed below with any further questions or to set up a time to meet the pet. Thank you.

Please call/text this number if interested: +1 (407) 963-4584

Cat located in this city: Orlando

Cat’s Name: Giovanni (Gio) for short

Cat’s Age & Sex: 8 years old male

Cat’s vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped): He is up to date on vaccines as well as neutered.

Animals story: (where found and reason for wanting to rehome): My grandmother recently passed away and I am unable to afford to provide for him as well as I am going through a difficult living situation. He is a very loving cat who gets attached to his people once he gets to know them.
We just want to find him a really loving and stable home.

Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): Gio is a grey and white male cat and he is very shy at first and does not like loud noises but once he warms up to his person he is VERY affectionate and loving. He follows me around the house like a shadow and loves giving sweet head butts for attention and cuddling with me. He is not a lap cat but does like to lay right next to me and sleeps on the pillow next to my head at night. He occasionally plays with his toys by throwing them high in the air and chasing them.

Any Supplies that go with pet (food, litter, leash, cat box, bedding, toys): I can provide cat litter and a few of his toys he likes to play with as well as dry and wet food.
What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): I feed him dry meow mix morning and evening and also half a can of wet food at night.
I just learned how important wet food is so hopefully in next home he can get more!
:::::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too! Limit the overly processed dry food and ensure cat eats all the wet food daily. At the VERY minimum each cat should get one 3oz. can of wet food a day or HALF of a 5.5oz. can a day (although we recommend double this).
:::::::::::: More info here: FurryNationSalvation.Org/wetfood
IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT:
1) Please show up with a cat carrier
2) Small adoption fee of: 15
3) I will call/text one month from adoption day just to make sure everything is going well
4) Please show up with your Driver's License.
5) Information sheet will be filled out (your information as well as mine)
*Please know, that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you.

Call/text me if interested in this kitty: **** +1 (407) 963-4584
