Gigi's Story

Ageist feline seeks ideal living accommodations.

Gigi has been with me since she was 8 weeks old. She is now over a year old and has already had to have her vaccinations updated. You'd think by now she would have been adopted being so beautiful and petite. The thing is.... Gigi is a Royal P.I.T.A. She dislikes me. She dislikes my husband. She is a nightmare to show. She instinctively knows when it's adoption day and just like Danny Devito in Always Sunny in Philadelphia, she hides herself somewhere within the couch. On the off chance I can catch her for adoptions, she hisses at all the little kids who greet her at her cage. You'd think oh Gigi is just the type of cat who just doesn't like people, but that isn't true. Gigi is ageist and likes the older crowd. When Grandma visits, Gigi is all over her. Don't tell me that Gigi needs to live with Grandma because Grandma already has more than enough in her "land of misfit cats" who have decided to move out of the rescue, one being a three legged cat who learned to climb the gate, hopped her way to Grandma's apartment door and never looked back. Gigi is a completely different cat around my mom. She likes the energy of the seasoned people. When children come to the house, she just avoids them and hides till they leave. She's not aggressive. Gigi likes other cats and could adapt to low energy dogs. If you have the 65+ older vibe going on at your home that Gigi craves, please consider giving her a chance. She does snuggle and puts in at least 2 minimum shifts at the biscuit factory.

https://bit.ly/fofadoptionapplication

That's What Friends Are For Inc DBA Friends of Felines's Adoption Policy
Thank you for considering adoption from our organization. Our adoption process is designed to ensure that our pets find loving and responsible forever homes. Please take a moment to review our adoption policies: 1. **Adoption Application:** - All potential adopters are required to submit an adoption application (https://bit.ly/fofadoptionapplication). This application is a crucial step in understanding your preferences, lifestyle, and ability to provide a loving environment for the pet. - The adoption application will be thoroughly reviewed by several members of our team. We consider various factors to ensure a suitable match between the adopter and the pet. 2. **Approval Process:** - Our adoption team will carefully assess the information provided in your application. This process may involve conducting a home visit to ensure that it's a safe and suitable environment for the pet. - We strive to make the best match for both the adopter and the pet, taking into consideration factors such as living situation, activity level, and compatibility. 3. **Adoption Agreement:** - Upon approval of your adoption application, you will be required to sign an adoption agreement. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of the adoption, including responsibilities, expectations, and our commitment to the welfare of the pet. - The adoption agreement is a binding document and not optional. It serves as a formal commitment from both parties to provide the adopted pet with a loving and secure home. 4. **Adoption Fee:** - An adoption fee is applicable to help cover the costs associated with veterinary care, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and other expenses incurred in preparing the pet for adoption. This fee is a crucial contribution to our ongoing efforts to rescue and care for animals in need. By adhering to these adoption policies, we aim to create a positive and successful adoption experience for both our pets and adoptive families. Thank you for choosing adoption and for providing a loving home to a pet in need.
