GIGI's Story
Golly gee, it's Gigi!! This sweet girl has been through a lot, but now she's looking for a patient, understanding home that will love her just the way she is. Gigi has a common feline condition called feline herpesvirus (FHV-1), which can cause occasional sniffles, watery eyes, or mild cold-like symptoms - especially during times of stress. The good news? It's very common in cats, only affects other cats (not people or other pets), and many kitties live happy, full lives with it. Gigi may have intermittent flare-ups, so her future fammily should be prepared to keep an eye on her symptoms and provide supportive care when needed. Because of this, Gigi would benefit from a calm, low-stress environment where she can truly relax and feel safe. A consistent routine, lots of love will go a long way in helping her thrive. Her adopter should plan to establish care with a veterinarian early on to keep her feeling her best and to stay on top of any flare ups. Despite her medical quirks, Gigi is so deserving of a home that sees her who she is. Underneath it all, she's a loveable girl who just needs someone in her corner.
