Meet Gigi! This sweet and tender girl is looking for a patient person who can give her all the attention a tortie desires. She is shy with strangers to start, but will warm up becoming very loving and affectionate once she has time to build a bond.<br/><br/>Gigi loves to come up to her people for head pats and booty rubs and is crazy for Churu treats. She also has tons of fun chasing ping pong balls and playing with wand toys and feathers on string toys. <br/><br/>Gigi would do best in a quieter environment with a nurturing person/people looking for a soul cat. <br/><br/>Currently in foster care in Santa Monica. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue.<br/><br/>We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized.<br/><br/>We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis.<br/><br/>When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family.<br/><br/>If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.<br/>If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.<br/>Please send us an email at delgatorescue@gmail.com to be a part of our rescue community.
