GIDGET's Story

Here is what her foster mom wrote about her: Gidget came to us as a young Mama with 3 baby girls that were 1 wk. old. She was an excellent Mama, very attentive. Gidget may take a short time to feel comfortable but she is lovey and playful. She was friendly with our resident cat but still unsure of our dogs. Note for adopters: This cat is overall healthy but recovering from her spay surgery. She was recently nursing kittens, and her mammary glands were engorged at time of spay. There is no sign of infection, but this region is sensitive. Pain medication (Onsior tablets) will be sent home if not completed by time of adoption. Her mammary glands should return to normal size with time, but if you notice any redness, lack of appetite, or overall changes in behavior, further evaluation with a vet is indicated.
