Gibby's Story

Hi, my name is Gibby! I'm a GREEN pawprint, which means I will fit in well to any home. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Gibby is friendly and affectionate. He is a purr-monster! Gibby can also be a chatty-Cathy.
-Can Live with Cats: Gibby came in with another cat. We tried to reunite them after decompressing and they were not getting along. Due to the high stress of where they were found and being in a shelter that could have contributed to them not getting along. A very slow and supervised introduction to resident cats in the home may be okay. Adopters should expect a longer adjustment period if bringing to a home that already has a cat. Up to counselors discretion.
-Can Live with Dogs: Gibby's history with dogs is unknown. Supervised introductions with cat savvy dogs may be okay. Up to counselors discretion.
-Can Live with Kids: Respectful kids of any age are okay. Up to counselors discretion.
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Indoor only homes are strongly encouraged but not required.
-History of Litter Box Issues: None
-Energy Level: Moderate
-Bite History: None
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope, Gibby is all ready to go home!

Additional Information:
Gibby came in as a stray and his history is unknown. He was found in an abandoned motel room. Gibby has adjusted to the shelter quite seamlessly given the high stress he has been through. While in the shelter, Gibby has been nothing but an affectionate and loving cat. He loves attention and to cuddle. Gibby is ready for his furr-ever home!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
