Gianna's Story

Do you remember the character Phoebe on the TV show "Friends"? Ditzy and distractible and somehow adorable for it? Well, that could describe our Gianna.

But Gianna manages to seem even more silly because she's not the most graceful cat - OK, she's clumsy - and she regularly does this funny sideways head tilt. Both of those traits are from having had a polyp removed from her inner ear when she was a youngster, affecting her sense of balance.

Gianna is a very happy girl, all the time! And she's very affectionate with her people. In fact, she'll RUN to you when you walk in the room to get petted, to hog the attention from any other cats. But not for long. She'll quickly decide she's done with that and move on to the next thing. Like maybe toys! She loves to play, whether with interactive toys like ribbon wands or laser pointers, or by herself, with toy mice and balls. She's always busy, but not frantic about it, just always moving from one thing to another.

Gianna came from an indoor hoarding situation with lots of other calico cats. Inbreeding is common in that kind of setting. (Just sayin'.) But despite some possible mental challenges, she doesn't have any health problems in adulthood. (She's about four years old.) Her eyes are chronically weepy, but that's just normal for her and for other cats from that colony, nothing requiring medical attention.

Because Gianna has always lived with other cats, sometimes *lots* of other cats, she'd be perfectly comfortable in a multi-cat household. And other cats seem to accept her well, although not always appreciating her me-first attitude about greeting people. But that's only momentary - see above about her distractibility!

Please consider giving this pretty, special girl a forever home.

Application can be found at https://secure.jotform.us/form/51263873139156
