Gia's Story

**Sharonville location **

Gia has surprised us all by how affectionate and loving she is. She craves attention and affection from our volunteers and is very playful. She starts making biscuits the minute someone enters the room, in anticipation of attention!

Gia was a pregnant stray who chose to have her kittens on a suburban porch. The family diligently worked to gain her trust and move the kittens inside but they also knew they were not in a position to keep any of them. They found homes for the kittens, and had Gia spayed, vaccinated, and chipped.

Gia came to the shelter and stayed in quarantine for the required time. She grew depressed and anxious during that time and we weren’t sure what her personality would be when we released her into a free range room. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV and joined the kitties in Room 3, transitioning easily to the room. She gets along with her roommates but stays fairly independent.

She loves to have her chin scratched and will enthusiastically jump up for head butts. She is petite and tidy and would make an excellent companion for anyone living in an apartment or small space since she prefers to sit in a window and sunbathe most of the day. She would do well as an only cat or with others.

Please consider making an appointment to see if Gia would be a good fit for your household!

*Must be 21 or older to adopt.
**Our shelter has a policy to only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter.
