Ghost's Story

Meet Ghost! This little gray cutie is sweet and curious. She loves to play with her toy springs and mice, chase her laser pointer, and to explore every nook and cranny of the house. When she is not busy playing, she enjoys curling up on one of the laps of her foster humans and catching up on the latest tv. Ghost has an easy-going personality, making her the perfect companion for almost any type of house. She peacefully co-exists with the resident dog and rabbit. She is looking for a loving home where she can thrive and be a part of the family.

You may have noticed we said she'd be good in **almost** any type of home. This is because she did test postive for FELV. This means she can only be live with other FELV cats or as the solo feline. She is currently in the "regressive" state which means her immune system is weakened so she will need an indoor only life style, good quality diet and yearly vet visits (like any kitty should have anyways), but that the virus has not moved into her bone marrow so with proper care she can still live a long, healthy life. So if you're looking for an easy going companion, who will greet you at the door when you come home, she just might be the perfect match!

St. Sophia's Forgotten Felines's Adoption Policy
TO ADOPT, ONE MUST Have current photo identification with your current address Be willing and able to spend the time & money needed to care for your cat Carefully read the terms of our Adoption Contract and agree to its terms. Agree that if they cannot keep the cat they have adopted from St. Sophia’s, they must return the cat to us Agree to allow an authorized representative of St. Sophia’s to make an adoption follow-up THE PROCESS Adopting should never be an impulse decision — pets are for life. We respectfully ask that you come fully prepared to take on the care of a cat prior to filling out an application. On average, owning a cat costs $40 a month (food/litter/health), which is $480 annually. Cats (especially kittens) take lots of time, dedication, and love to grow and develop into loving and healthy household pets. Because we at St. Sophia’s pride ourselves in knowing our cats, we want what’s best for them, and to ensure they are going to good homes we conduct reference checks (personal and veterinary) in addition to the basic application. Please expect the adoption process to take at least 24 hours, and when your adoption is finalized, you’ll need to bring a carrier to take your new pet home in.
