George's Story

Meet George, a true gem. His previous owner wrote his bio:

Oh, Boy George...

Life didn't start out easy for me. I spent my early days surviving on the streets as a stray before being adopted as a barn cat. While I appreciate having a safe place to stay, it's become pretty clear that I'm not really cut out for barn cat life-I would much rather be a beloved house cat and spend my time napping and relaxing, sometimes even on a lap!

I'm a little on the chonky side and enjoy the finer things in life, especially Lickables and Temptations treats. My favorite activity is spending time with my human. I love pets, head rubs, and soaking up attention. Please understand though, I like to feel comfortable on my own timeline. If I am shy at first, please don't take it personally.

I've shared space with another cat outside and was fine with that. In closer contact, I would prefer not being with another cat that wants to be in my personal space. I can also tolerate calm, respectful dogs who also understand that cats deserve their personal space.

What I really want is a home of my own-a cozy spot to nap, a human to love, and a family that will appreciate what a sweet, affectionate boy I am. After a rough start in life, I'm ready to trade my barn cat title for my forever role: cherished house cat.

Could that be with you?
