Gemma's Story

Gemma may be a tiny girl, but she has a huge personality and absolutely knows it. This sweet little diva likes to be in charge and isn't shy about letting you know when she wants attention, often calling for her favorite people with her adorable squeaky meow.

Once Gemma trusts you, she becomes the ultimate velcro cat. She loves cuddling, sleeping right next to your face, and will gently place her paw on you while chirping and trilling with happiness. She adores string toys and will happily try to carry them off as her prize.

Gemma was found as a kitten in rough condition and has some permanent scarring on one eye. Her vision is perfectly fine, though you may notice a slight cloudiness or occasional squint in bright light. She can be selective about her friends, but she forms deep bonds with her favorite people and feline companions. Gemma would do best in a quiet home and would likely settle in even faster if adopted with her sister, Ruby.

Tiny, opinionated, affectionate, and overflowing with love, Gemma is the kind of cat who will give her whole heart to the people she trusts.

All CCATS's adoptable cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites and have tested negative for FIV/FELV.

Ready to add some purr-fection to your life? Apply at https://ccatsrescue.org/ and click on "Adoption Application".

Gemma can't wait to hear from you!

As each of the cats in our rescue are lovingly cared for in private foster homes, personal meet and greets are scheduled with a submitted application only, in an effort to be respectful of our foster families' time.

Many of our cats and kittens are also available to meet in person at our twice monthly (sometimes more often) adoption events. Adoption application must be completed, which includes an adoption contract. Applicants must agree to keep cats or kittens indoor only (with very limited exceptions). If applicants rent, we contact the landlord to ensure that they're allowed to have an animal(s), and we discuss the home layout and area's the cat(s) or kitten(s) will be able to utilize. While we always hope that anyone wanting to adopt is ready and able to - we try minimize negative outcomes with a thorough application review and following up on unclear questions.
