Gargurl - Graphic Content Warning's Story
Meet Gargurl, although with her haircut she may need renamed to Mr. Burns

Female I 3.5 Months I UTD Vaccines I Dewormed I Will be spayed, microchipped, tested for FeLV/FIV, and medically cleared prior to going home.

Miss Gargirly came into our care mid August after being stung by over 20 yellow jackets. She went about a week without any vetting so when she arrived her ears were necrotic and coming off on their own. She has since been receiving round the clock wound care and despite how graphic her injuries look she is recovering beautifully.

Personality wise Gargurl has one larger than life. Even with her harsh start so early on all she wants is attention and affection. She loves laying on her back and getting belly pets and if it were up to her they'd happen 24/7.

She does great with other cats and will be socialized with her fosters large 140lb mastiff over the next few weeks.

We anticipate her having a go home timeline around mid September pending how her head heals up. We'd love to have a pre adoption lined up for her so she has a spot to land once she's medically cleared.

More photos and videos of her recovery can be seen on her fosters Instagram:
@deejandthecats.
www.Instagram.com/deejandthecats

***Interested in Adopting?***

Scroll down and click "Visit Our Profile Page" our application is under our Adoption Policies Section. Please complete the adoption application in full. PF Inquiries and Matches are not evaluated.

We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. Our priority is finding the best match for each cat or kitten. Applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens are typically given higher priority. Due to concerns about Single Kitten Syndrome (SKS), young kittens are not eligible for solo adoption unless there is already a young kitty of similar energy in the home.

What is Single Kitten Syndrome?

Single Kitten Syndrome occurs when young kittens are adopted alone. Without a feline playmate, they may develop behavioral issues such as:

Aggression or anxiety
Inappropriate chewing or scratching
Litter box avoidance
Difficulty adjusting to new pets or children later in life

While not all single kittens experience these challenges, its a common reason cats are rehomed later. The best way to prevent SKS is to adopt kittens in pairs or ensure there is already a playful, compatible cat in the home.
