Garfield's Story

Meet Garfield 🧡
Garfield is a 1.5-year-old orange tabby Domestic Shorthair with a big personality and even bigger energy! Born July 10, 2024, this handsome boy weighs 6.2 kg and is fully vetted — neutered, vaccinated (FVRCP & Rabies), and microchipped.

Garfield is the kind of cat that brings life and entertainment to a home. He is playful, curious, and very social, always looking for something fun to do. Whether it’s chasing shadows on the wall, hunting reflections, watching the world through the window, or zooming around the house, Garfield keeps things interesting.
One of his funniest quirks is what we call “stompy cat mode.” When he gets excited, Garfield stomps around the house with his tail puffed up like a little monkey, sounding like a herd of tiny elephants coming through. It’s impossible not to laugh.

Garfield would do best in a home that can match his playful energy. He needs a younger feline playmate who enjoys wrestling and games, as he tends to annoy senior cats with his enthusiasm. He also does fine with calm, respectful dogs, and has even been known to nap nearby. He has done well with the make cats that were in the rescue before his arrival but not so much with new male arrivals.

While Garfield isn’t a traditional lap cat, he has a sweet affectionate side and loves curling up on your chest when you’re relaxing or taking a nap.
Garfield would thrive in a quieter home with people who understand that he is an indoor-only cat and who can provide plenty of playtime, enrichment, and love.

If you're looking for a fun, active, and entertaining companion, Garfield might just be your perfect match.
📍 Located in South Mississauga, Ontario
📧 Adoption inquiries:
30sixpaws@gmail.com
or send us a message to learn more about Garfield.
