Gardenia's Story

Meet Gardenia, a fluffy white kitty who had lived in a feral colony for a couple of years lovingly cared for by a caretaker. Within the past few months, Gardenia decided outdoor life was no longer of interest to her by wanting to enter the caretaker's home. Gardenia has decided she wants to be part of a family and to live inside now and we are happy to oblige.

Gardenia is sweet and friendly. She is a little tentative at the moment but sit with her, talk softly, and begin to pet her, she becomes curious and seeks more pets and attention. Gardenia is just as gentle and pretty as the Gardenia flower but unlike the flower our Gardenia's coat will need some routine brushing to keep it glorious. Gardenia would be great with a single adopter or couple, possibly a family with older respectful kids. Gardenia has lived with other cats so could be part of a calm, non-aggressive multi-cat household.

Gardenia has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Gardenia has an approximate birthdate of 05/01/2024. Her adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in Gardenia or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.

Thank you!
