Gardenia's Story

Gardenia is a sweet and gentle 3 year old cat with a calm, easygoing personality and a surprisingly playful side. She settles into new spaces quickly and loves being near her people, often following from room to room just to keep you company. Most of the time, she is curled up nearby, napping or quietly observing everything going on around her.

She is very affectionate and enjoys being pet and held, and she has a soft, expressive way of communicating. She may “complain” a little if something is not to her liking, like a change in food or being put in a carrier, but it is more talkative than anything and not aggressive at all.

Gardenia does not like being alone for long and will let you know if she misses you, but she settles quickly once she has company again. She truly thrives in a home where she can be part of the day to day routine.

She gets along well with other cats and has shown friendly and respectful behavior, even cuddling up with her foster’s resident cat. She is also curious and confident, happily exploring new spaces and making herself at home. She enjoys toys and will entertain herself, whether it is chasing a ball or turning a random object into her favorite game.

She is a wonderful mix of calm, affectionate, and playful, and would make a loving companion in a home where she can feel included and close to her people.
