While some of her siblings are the first to race across the room looking for attention, Gabriela is a little more reserved. She's not shy so much as thoughtfulhappy to take in her surroundings before deciding it's time to join the fun.<br/><br/>Her story began before she was even born. A kind woman noticed a pregnant stray cat visiting her home and began leaving food out for her. One day, mama disappeared, only to return several weeks later with her kittens in tow. Believing she had found a safe place for them, mama tucked her babies into the wheel well of the woman's car. Thankfully, their tiny cries were heard before anyone drove away. The family quickly brought mama and kittens inside and reached out to RARE for help.<br/><br/>Once she feels comfortable, Gabriela's affectionate side shines. She's the kind of kitten who will happily curl up in your lap while you're working on the computer, reading a book, or watching TV. She loves being near her people and has a quiet sweetness that makes you fall in love with her more and more each day.<br/><br/>Don't let her calm demeanor fool you, though. Gabriela is still a kitten! She loves to play, chase toys, and romp around with her siblings before settling in for a cozy nap.<br/><br/>Gabriela and her siblings are also expert litter box users, making the transition into their forever homes even easier.<br/><br/>Gabriela would thrive in a home that appreciates both her playful side and her gentle, cuddly nature. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.<br/><br/>Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care.
