Gabby's Story
Meet Gabby — a confident queen with a soft side.

Gabby is a strong, independent girl who knows exactly what she likes—and isn’t shy about letting you know! She has a dominant personality and prefers to be the one in charge of her space. While she can tolerate other cats, she doesn’t seek them out and will set clear boundaries if needed. She mostly ignores small dogs.
She’s not a fan of being picked up and will let you know when she’s had enough petting with a quick swat, so she’s best suited for someone who understands and respects cat body language. In return, she offers quiet companionship and a steady, comforting presence.

Gabby is social in her own way—she enjoys being near her people and keeping an eye on the household activity from her favorite spot. She’s especially fond of her foster dad and thrives in a calm, predictable environment. Not a lap cat, she’s more of a “hang out nearby” kind of companion.

Her journey hasn’t been easy. She came to AARF from a local shelter with a severe injury caused by an embedded collar and was very underweight. After months of dedicated care, including surgery and laser treatments, she’s fully healed and ready for her next chapter.

She’s quiet, clean, and appreciates having her own space. The ideal home for Gabby is one where she can feel safe, respected, and loved for exactly who she is.

My adoption fee is $150.00, and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we've already been spayed/neutered (if age appropriate) and microchipped. We've been checked by a veterinarian, and we're up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia). Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!
