Freddie's Story

Freddie is a 7‑year‑old neutered male with the soft, flowing coat of a domestic long hair brown tabby—or at least he will have it again soon. He arrived at Catmandu after being abandoned at a construction site, his fur badly matted from neglect. To help him feel comfortable, he currently sports a lion cut, and he’s taking the whole situation in stride with his sweet, good‑natured charm.

Despite what he’s been through, Freddie is an affectionate, playful, and trusting boy. He’s been around men, women, and other cats, and he settles in easily with gentle companionship. He loves attention, enjoys interactive play, and is happiest when he can share space with his people.

Freddie is sensitive to loud noises, so a calmer home will help him feel safe and confident. As his beautiful long coat grows back, he’ll need daily brushing to keep it healthy and mat‑free—something he’ll likely enjoy as part of his bonding time.

Freddie is up to date on his vaccinations and is microchipped.

If you’re looking for a loving companion with a resilient spirit and a heart full of warmth, Freddie is ready to start his next chapter with someone who will cherish him.

If you would like to meet this special furball, please fill out the Online Pre-Adoption Questionnaire on our website, https://www.catmanducc.org/copy-of-adoption. Then come by Catmandu Friday through Sunday for a meet and greet and to talk with an adoption specialist. Adoption hours are 11 am to 4 pm. Plan to arrive no later than 3 pm so that you have time to spend with the cats before adoptions close at 4. Please bring a carrier in case you find your purrfect friend.
Renters must bring a copy of their lease showing they are allowed to have a cat.
For more information on Catmandu, see bio.link/momcat.

Catmandu's Adoption Policy
Catmandu is located in Carson City, NV. We do not ship cats cross-country. You must be able to visit In person prior to adoption. We ask that all family members come to meet the cat, especially if there are children. Spay/neuter, shots to date, and deworming (if necessary) are included in our adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $100 for kittens under 1 year old; and $50 for adult cats. We strongly prefer to have adopters complete an application and make an appointment to meet the cats. Because we have an extremely small staff, this ensures that we will be able to give each potential adopter plenty of individual time and attention to help them select the perfect cat for their family and situation. It is very important to us that it is a good fit and the adoption is for the lifetime of the cat. Appointments are available Tuesday through Sunday. For more information, visit our website at CatmanduCC.org
