Franklin's Story
Meet Franklin, a gentle giant with a heart as soft as his fur. After being abandoned and left to fend for himself outdoors, Franklin came into care matted, nervous, and unsure of the world around him. With a safe space and patient, gentle interactions, he quickly revealed his true nature: an affectionate, loving boy who just wants to be close to his people.

Franklin absolutely adores lap time and will happily nuzzle up to your face for extra closeness. He's a champion flopper, often rolling onto his back to ask for belly rubs and soak up affection. While he is incredibly sweet, there are signs that his past experiences with humans weren't always kind. Because of this, sudden movements or harsh tones can startle him. He may communicate fear or discomfort with a hiss, not as a request for space but simply to show he does not like what is happening in that moment. Even then, he remains a truly gentle soul.

When feeling anxious, especially in a new environment, Franklin may cry as he adjusts. This may show up during his first few nights in a new home, but with time, patience, and reassurance, he settles beautifully. Once comfortable, you will find him happily lounging at your feet or batting toys around the room.

Franklin gets along wonderfully with other cats. While he has not been introduced to dogs yet, we believe that with slow and positive introductions, he could learn to share his home with a canine companion as well.

With his longer coat, Franklin will require regular brushing once his fur grows back in. For now, he is rocking an adorable lion's cut that only adds to his charm.

Franklin is looking for a calm and understanding home that will give him the patience and kindness he deserves. In return, he will offer sweet companionship, lots of affection, and cozy moments by your side.
