Frankie

Frankie is a 7 year old (born about 9/6/19) sweet tortie female. She is a big girl (19.8 pounds at her most recent vet visit) so there is a lot of her to love. She would benefit from a weight loss program in her new home. She has a nice soft coat of fur and beautiful eyes. She enjoys being brushed and also likes to have her belly petted and have her neck scratched. <br/><br/>Frankie enjoys sitting near her person on the couch and sometimes will want to sit on her family member’s lap. Like a typical cat, she will have her moments when she wants to have some alone time but when the house is quiet, she will happily hang out with her people to relax. She is sometimes a chatty cat especially when she wants to be petted. She is also a very smart cat and will let you know if there may be something wrong in the house. For example, in her previous home, when the other cat in the home accidentally was closed in the basement, she meowed to let her human family know. <br/><br/>She will do best in a home with only adults and older children who are not loud and fast moving. In her previous home, she never harmed the toddler in the home but preferred to be as far as away as she could from all the activity of a typical toddler home. She has done fine when a family member’s dog has visited so as long as the family has a laid back dog, that may be a good fit. She has also lived with another cat so with a proper slow introduction, this is a possibility too. <br/><br/>Frankie loves to sleep with her human family members. When visitors come, she may be a little shy at first but once she gets to know you, she loves attention and is very sweet. She has a cute little cat sofa that will go with her to her new home that she loves to sit on when it is placed near a window.
