****ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS-<br/><br/>Francine is an approximately 2-year-old possible Lynx Point Siamese mix who has done an incredible job raising her kittens after giving birth beneath a porch. Now that her little family is safe, it's finally Francine's turn to find a home of her own.<br/><br/>Like many devoted moms, Francine is still learning that she doesn't have to be on guard all the time. Shelter life is noisy and unpredictable, with unfamiliar people, cats, dogs, and constant activity. While we do everything we can to help our animals feel secure, it's a challenging environment for a cat whose instincts have been focused on protecting her family.<br/><br/>Because of that, Francine can come across as wary and defensive at first. We don't believe that's her whole story—we believe it's a reflection of her circumstances. Given the chance to decompress in a quiet home, we hope this wonderful mama will finally be able to let someone see who she is beyond the job she's been working so hard to do.<br/><br/>Francine has already given her kittens a bright future.
