Ford's Story

Meet Ford! Ford is an approximately 1 year old male DSH cat who came to us as a stray. He was unfortunately apart of a large group of cats being fed by someone in the community, and they were no longer welcome in the neighborhood. After not being reclaimed by an owner, Ford has proven while he was originally scared when he arrived, that he really wanted to like humans. He has been slowly coming out of his shell, enjoys "talking" to us here at the shelter, and is getting used to his surroundings. Ford is cat friendly, but we are not sure about dogs. He uses his litterbox here. His adoption fee is $100, he is now neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and FELV/FIV negative. Adoptions are first come first serve. A pet may be placed on a one time hold until the end of next business day. The hold starts from the date of receipt of a completed application. Holds may not be extended. Applications for adoptions can be found on our website: https://www.co.kendall.il.us/departments/animal-control/adoption Adoptions may be refused at the discretion of shelter staff.
