FLYNN's Story

After two months of care and treatment at the shelter Flynn is finally ready for an ADULT-ONLY INSIDE-ONLY forever home!

Flynn arrived as a muscular tom cat with a quiet, shy demeanor. At times he was grouchy and we soon discovered why. Flynn's mouth had broken abscessed teeth causing him significant infection and pain! Once he received dental surgery, including removal of painful teeth, a full cleaning and polish, everything changed. Now neutered and feeling so much better, Flynn is a confident kitty who enjoys gentle calm ADULT-ONLY companionship. He will purr with appreciation!

Flynn can still occasionally get a little overstimulated with too much touching or petting, so he will do best in a cat-savvy home that understands feline boundaries and body language. With the right match, Flynn will be a loving companion who is ready to leave his rough days behind.

Flynn is FIV+ and must be an indoor only kitty. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a slow acting virus that affects the cat's immune system. FIV is a cat-only virus, and cannot be transmissible to humans or other species of animals. FIV is not spread casually – like in litter boxes, food and water bowls, or when snuggling and playing. FIV is spread through serious, penetrating bite wounds -- The type of bite wound that is seen most often in feral, intact tomcats -- or by blood transfusions. FIV+ cats can live in a household with other non-FIV+ cats if they are all non-aggressive. Cats that live together without fighting and are easy going in nature are at little risk for becoming infected. Cats with FIV can live very long, perfectly comfortable lives. Provide FIV+ cats with a good diet and annual veterinarian exam, and address any secondary health concerns as they arise.

**WALK IN SHELTER TO ADOPT Tuesday Noon-5pm, Wednesday 12-6pm, Thursday-Sunday Noon-5pm (Closed Mondays and Holidays). All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to bring your ID with you too!

Watch his video here:

or here:
https://youtu.be/IJ2JGzbUI7M
