Floyd - playful and affectionate's Story

Meet Floyd --- a sweet 2-year-old Tabby/Bengal mix boy with an adorable pink nose and striped pants!

Floyd is a playful, sweet boy who was rescued from the streets of Tamarindo, Costa Rica. He has since made his way to Colorado and is looking for a loving, stable home where he can enjoy all the comforts he missed during his early life: a soft bed, treats, and snuggles.

Because of his rough start, Floyd forms strong bonds with his human and wants to stay close - wanting to be involved in all tasks and speaking his mind. He craves human love and affection.

Floyds favorite thing is belly rubs. He will roll on his back and do air biscuits at the first sign of petting so that he gets belly rubs. He also loves his toys. He will entertain himself by playing with his mouse toys. He also loves toys on strings - he'll jump super high and sometimes do flips trying to catch the flying toy. He has a lot of kitten energy.

Now that Floyd has discovered the comforts of indoor living, he is happy just being in a home with his people. He would also enjoy having a Catio so he can safely be outside!

With time and a stable home, his fear of people leaving him should lessen.

Floyd gets along with other cats, although he tends to keep his distance at first. Once he realizes another cat isn't a threat, he relaxes. His experience with dogs is unknown, but given time, patience, and proper introductions, he may learn that dogs can be friends too.

Note that Floyd is FIV-positive, which means he'll need to be the only kitty in the household. He could also live in a household with other FIV-positive kitties.

He's litterbox trained, neutered and up to date on his kitty shots.

If you're looking for a constant companion who will keep you entertained with his playful antics and happily curl up beside you at the end of the day, Floyd may be the perfect match!

For more info and/or to apply to adopt Floyd, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
