Flash 's Story

Flash is a 5 month old male neutered, dewormed and vaccinated kitten who constantly meets and defies the orange cat stereotype. On some days, he does operate on the universally shared orange cat brain cell and other days, he is just the smartest little boy you have met!

Flash takes his own sweet time to open up but is generally friendly/indifferent to strangers. His kryptonite is the jingling of his toy-he hears the bell on his feather toy and he will wake up with groggy eyes to play. That has been the best way to familiarise him with people he meets for the first time. Like all young cats, he is most active through the night but keeps to his own toys and occasionally tramples all over you as you sleep. He has not yet shown any desire or mastered the art of climbing random surfaces, the bed is all he is intrigued by.

Food Habit - He eats two meals a day - Weruva canned gravy + Applaws dry food + Fancy Feast 1/10th of a paté 3oz can, mixed together with a little bit of water. He does have a sensitive tummy so he needs the same meal every time. He is on Purina probiotics. He gets a few dry treats (Temptations) and Churu wet treat over the day.

Behaviour - He is extremely gentle. If he likes and wants to interact, he gently indicates it. He is skittish when there are sudden movements or in the presence of strangers. But he is interested in interacting through the toy with strangers as well. He is not a lap cat-he chooses when he wants affection and not. He does not invade your private space but is always curious. He is very curious of all sounds and patiently sits by the bedroom door if he hears movement outside. Flash is also highly emotionally aware of human emotions and moderates his energy accordingly. He loves all toys except interactive ones. He loves small rat/mouse like toys the most! He is not yet responsive to catnip.

The play pen is his safe space and he retreats into it to take a nap. His bed and litter are currently placed inside it. Sometimes he carries his toys inside to play as well.
