He just can't help himself from being a big fat teddy bear of an attention hog. His innate loving personality showed through quickly, making him stand out from his litter of kittens as a teenager. Flamingo suddenly decided he needs as much affection as possible as often as possible, when he started rubbing against the legs of any human who came into his room one day, to his foster's surprise. Within the span of a month he went from an aloof, insecure, hissy teenager who wanted nothing to do with people, to a social butterfly velcro cat who wouldn't leave you alone. Now he loves being picked up and hugged, as well as talented at head bonking. He loves to flop over and collapse against you to entice you to rub him all over. If you want an uber-friendly kitty who makes you feel needed, wanted and deeply loved, Flamingo will more than fill that role in your home. He truly is a taming success story!<br/><br/>Background<br/>Flamingo and his 2 brothers, Parrot and Parakeet, were found at about 3 months old, in a neighborhood in SW Houston, Sugarland. They were another litter from a large colony of cats where many others had been rescued in the past 4 years. The colony is known for beautiful silver tabbies and charcoal gray cats. The cats there have been actively TNR'd (trap, neuter, returned) for years, and every year more kittens like Flamingo's show up to surprise the caretakers to indicate that the job of spaying and neutering is still ongoing and incomplete.
