Flame's Story

Meet Flame, a 9-year-old orange and white tabby with a calm, gentle spirit. He came to our rescue with seven other cats after a devastating house fire in Ansonia just before Christmas. When the family’s home caught fire, the cats were left behind to fend for themselves in a space that was suddenly unsafe and unfamiliar. Despite everything he’s been through, Flame has held onto his quiet spirit and is now ready for a fresh start in a furever home. Flame is a total sweetheart who loves to be held and truly enjoys the simple pleasures in life—quiet naps, cozy spots, and peaceful companionship. This mellow boy would be a wonderful match for a calm home where he can relax and soak up affection at his own pace. Flame has so much love to give and is happiest when he’s close to his people, enjoying soft pets and a warm place to rest. He enjoys the company of other kitties and would love a home where he has a feline friend to keep him company, though not required. If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate companion who will bring comfort and warmth to your home, Flame is ready to light up your life. He is currently at the Purrfect Lounge in Plainville, a cat lounge where guests can visit and play with the cats. All meet & greets for Flame will take place there, giving you a chance to see his sweet personality in action! His adoption fee is $250 (lounge price) and Flame is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and neutered. He also qualifies for our senior-to-senior program so if you’re 60 years or older, you can adopt him for just $150.
