Fiona Domestic Short Hair Grand Rapids, MI

Meet Fiona, a cute, sweet young girl with gold eyes, who came to Second Chance from a hoarding situation with 8 other kittens, some of whom are her siblings. Fiona was well cared for in her home but after the number of cats swelled to 25, the owner who was in failing health was no longer able to care for them.

Fiona is gentle and a bit shy. She likes the comfort of her mate Hellebore. Fiona likes pets and will relax into them. She is working on becoming braver but it takes time. Fiona needs an adopter who will initially give her a small space to feel safe, and then reinforce that safety by a slow approach, gentle pets, attempts at play and possibly some treats. Fiona will definitely reward the adopter willing to do this for her. We see time and time again, how a shy cat here at the shelter blossoms when adopted. We are hoping you will be this type of adopter for our precious Fiona! Fiona would do best in a quieter home, preferably with a routine.

We believe kittens are happiest with another cat. Fiona will need to be adopted with one of her mates like Mamba or Hellebore. Consideration could be made for an existing cat in the adopter's home if that cat is calm, and would like a cuddle mate.

Fiona has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $120. Fiona has an approximate birthdate of 08-01-24.
