Figaro

Update 9/9/26: New video uploaded! Figgy is playing and learning clicker training! Check out the video to see how I was able lure Figaro back into his cage using a special telescopic pole with a ball attached at the end and a clicker at the handle.

-------------

Figaro is the quintessential tough guy. Raised on the streets, this bruiser has not known a secure day in his life. Small scars on his face give away his outdoor existence, and you can tell he had to fight tooth and nail to stay alive. He does not like other cats. Though when I watch him closely, I can tell he is actually terribly frightened by them.

Figgy is going to need to learn how to be an indoor cat. How to be someone's pet. It is going to take a bit of time, and probably a few scratches to get there. But when you feel his body relax a bit while he slurps a Churu treat out of your hand, you can see that he is really still a kitten at heart. One who had to be the baddest and strongest just to survive. And one who would really like to leave that lifestyle behind forever.

If you are a skilled cat person who is up to the challenge of turning a king tomcat into a cuddly lap kitty, come meet Figaro at the SPIN home!

--------------

Stray Pets In Need (SPIN) has weekly open adoption hours where you can drop in and meet our cats at 5 Overbrook Terrace, Natick, MA Fridays 5-7pm and Saturdays/Sundays 3-6pm.

If you are thinking of adopting Figaro or any other of the SPIN kitties, before you come by consider first filling out an application to speed up the process. The hardest part is providing proof that you either own your home or that your landlord approves you having a cat, other than that it is easy! Find it here:
www.straypetsinneed.org/adoptions/adoption-application.

Don't worry if you do not hear back from us right away! We are all volunteers and sometimes it takes a bit to get through everything. If you see a cat on our website, then it is still available for adoption! Just swing by the SPIN home during open adoption hours and you can meet your potential new kitty then.

All of our available cats are listed at: www.straypetsinneed.org/adoptions/adoptable-pets.
All SPIN cats are up-to-date on their vaccinations, are spay/neutered, are microchipped, and have had a veterinarian examination prior to adoption.

We look forward to meeting you and your family!
