Meet Forrest

Forrest is one of a litter of 3 kittens known as The Nature Kittens, trapped with their mom in New Orleans. Mom has been spayed and returned and now her last litter of babies are ready for their homes! If Forrest’s story sounds familiar to you, his cross-eyed sister Fern was recently adopted and their story was featured in the New Orleans Gambit.

Poor Forrest is the only kitten left from his litter that hasn’t found a forever home! Black cats have a tough time getting adopted, and because of Forrest’s unique look, he keeps getting passed over. But he has so much to offer! Forrest is a chunky little boy with the softest fur ever! He loves to play and gets so excited he sometimes pants like a dog! Because of his reconstructive eyelid surgeries and his propensity to stick out his tongue, Forrest has a unique look. He needs someone to look past his outward imperfections and love him for the beautiful panther he is inside! He is very sweet, loves to sit on laps, and loves to be the center of attention! He is also very curious, a little clumsy, and is always managing to get into some mischief. He has been in several foster homes, and been through a lot in his young life, so he is good with different people and adapts well. He would probably do better in a home with another feline companion to keep him company, but he loves people and would do fine as a solo kitten- as long as you don’t mind having a constant companion!

He has finished his eye surgeries, and only needs an eyedrop a day. He doesn’t mind getting them at all, and he probably won’t need them once he has completely healed.

He has been spayed/neutered, triple tested negative, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas.
