Fern's Story
Fern is one of our Special Needs kitties. The vet suspects Myotonia Congenita, a neuromuscular disorder that causes muscle stiffness. The symptoms are exacerbated by cold temperatures and stress. Fern will require a warm, low stress environment, with gentle activity and lots of love. Myotonia congenita is not a progressive disease. The prognosis for long-term survival is good.
At this time, she can't jump far and will fall off furniture. Even though she is disabled, she is all kitten and loves to attack feet (working on that) and the other cats, all in play.Adoption fee for cats & kittens: $90.00
Includes:
Spay/neuter
FIV/FeLV test
1st year vaccinations
Deworming
Flea control
Ear mite treatment
Microchipping
All kittens are vetted and microchipped prior to adoption. Our kittens are vetted at 12 weeks of age and ready for adoption shortly thereafter. If you are approved to adopt a kitten prior to 12 weeks of age, we will "reserve" the kitten for you. You are more than welcome to stay in contact with the foster parent until time of adoption. Any questions regarding our adoption policy and process can be directed to adopt@focusonferalstoday.com.
