Fern's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you’re looking for a true lap cat, look no further. This sweet girl’s life
mission is simple—get as close to her human as physically possible.
She delivers constant head-butts, nonstop purrs, and would happily
climbing into your skin if she could just to be nearer to you. She’s the
ultimate Velcro cat—extremely affectionate, deeply devoted, and
happiest when she’s curled up in a warm lap. Personal space? She’s
never heard of it. Because she bonds so closely with her people, she
would do best in a home where she can get the cuddles she craves.
Someone with a less busy lifestyle would be ideal as she needs a
human who truly enjoys sharing their lap, their couch, and their heart.
She would also thrive in a home with a friendly feline a history of caring
buddy as she loves having a companion. An adopter with experience with long-haired cats preferred. Fern is UTD on vaccines, has beenspayed, dewormed, microchipped and has tested Felv/FIV negative. Fern is a benefactor cat. Adoption fee $200

Animal Coalition of Delaware County's Adoption Policy
We believe in an adoption approach that considers important details for finding the right fit, such as a person's home, interests and lifestyle. We then match those with an animal's social, exercise and training needs. Unlike “pass/fail” application programs, we strive to match people and animals through education and discovery. We accomplish this through conversation to create an effective, pleasant adoption experience — and most important — to make lasting matches. Each situation, adopter and animal requires a different approach. And while we reserve the right to refuse an adoption, we always make every effort to work with you to address concerns or find the right pet for you.
