Ferdinand's Story
Ferdinand is around 5 months old and was rescued as part of an ongoing effort to spay/neuter a feral colony in a nearby town. He has really come around so much to people in his time here. He likes being scritched and is okay with being held by people he's comfortable with. While he's still a bit shy, he is a gentle soul that likes to play but really likes lounging in his hammock or watching out the window. He could certainly get used to living with a good-natured dog, and he enjoys the company of other cats. Since he's always been around other felines, he wouldn't be his happiest self as the only pet.

Ferdinand is still skittish and working through some of his wilder instincts. He would do best in a home without super young children, as loud noises, being chased, or a lot of commotion still makes him nervous, and he may hiss or scratch to get away if he feels threatened or cornered. A more mature, patient home would be the best fit for him to adjust to housecat life on his own terms.

(All cats and kittens we adopt out are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for fleas, dewormed, and microchipped)

Please submit an adoption application through our website versus completing the Petfinder inquiry feature.

Our adoption application and policies can be found here:

www.secondchancear.org/adopt-1
