Felicia's Story

Hi, my name is Felicia! I'm a RED pawprint, which means I need an experienced home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Shy, independent, mellow
-Can Live with Cats: Felicia would love to go home with her son Cheeto but it is not required. They are currently being housed in separate kennels to allow Felicia some quiet time. Felicia does not like cats other than Cheeto.
-Can Live with Dogs: Felicia would fight with the dog in her previous home. A dog-free household would be required.
-Can Live with Kids: Felicia has a bite history, and is therefore required to go to an adults-only home.
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Yes, since she is a senior cat.
-History of Litter Box Issues: None
-Energy Level: Moderate
-Bite History: Yes, Felicia had one skin-breaking bite incident at the shelter. The bite did not require medical attention and was likely due to overstimulation.
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope!

Additional Information: Meet Felicia, an independent and mellow senior cat who is looking for her forever home. She is shy in new situations (the shelter environment has been especially difficult), and will likely take a few weeks before she is fully comfortable. She does enjoy being around her son Cheeto who helps keep her company and shows her the world isn't scary. A mellow and quiet household would be Felicia's preferred home with an adopter who understand good things take time.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
