Farrah's Story

If you've ever noticed how often tabby cats seem to steal the spotlight in pop culture, there's a good reason. From beloved storybook characters to famous feline mascots, tabbies are adored for their expressive faces, striking coat patterns, intelligence, and charming personalities. Their distinctive stripes and swirls make each one unique, and their affectionate, adaptable nature has made them favorites of cat lovers for generations.

Farrah is a beautiful orange and brown tabby who is ready to start the next chapter of her life and this time, she hopes it will be indoors with a family of her own.

Farrah arrived in our care at the beginning of May along with her kittens, Cheryl, Bosley and Jaclyn, thanks to the efforts of a local grassroots rescue. Before that, Farrah was living outdoors as part of a cat colony. A caring Good Samaritan had been feeding the colony and noticed that Farrah seemed to be having litter after litter of kittens. Concerned for her wellbeing, the rescue stepped in to help.

Farrah and her kittens were safely secured and placed in a foster home where the kittens could be socialized and prepared for life as family pets. Now that her kittens are old enough to live independently and Farrah has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, she is finally ready to leave life on the streets behind forever.

Farrah is an exceptionally sweet girl who deserves the chance to experience the comfort, safety and love of a permanent home. While she does not need to be adopted with any of her kittens, we always like potential adopters to know when feline family members arrive together in case someone is interested in keeping part of the family together.

After spending so much of her life simply surviving, Farrah is ready to start living. Could you be the one to give this wonderful tabby the forever home she's been waiting for?

The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!
