Family MUST LEAVE USA's Story

7-7-26

In their owners' words:
They were born in the same litter in the home of a foster family for a local humane society. We adopted them when they were about three months old and they came to live with us in our busy household of seven people and one free-range rabbit. They love to insert themselves in the middle of projects and activities and have really bonded with our rabbit, Skip, (who was rehomed recently due to our move). They would hang out with him on their shared cat tree, nap with him in his room, try to eat his food for some mysterious reason. They might do well in a household with other animals... They can both be very affectionate when they are sleepy and want to be around us, but most of the time we live parallel lives, doing our own things, kind of like my teenagers.... They have always lived only indoors, but they love to sit in an open (screened-in) window or door to watch the birds and squirrels and listen to the wind or rain.

We originally thought we would bring them with us to Israel when we move, but we realized that our new lifestyle is likely to be very stressful for them (and for us) because we will be renting a small apartment and likely to move again and again until we find our new permanent home. Our apartment does not have its own safe room, so in the event of an air raid siren, we would not necessarily have time to bring them down with us to the building's shelter.

They are spayed and they both have a clean bill of health; up to date on their vaccinations, I have their records from the vet. Leia is more outgoing and Chewie is more reserved, they are both very chill, not needy at all. They follow their own agenda-they like to be around us when we are sitting down or sleeping, then they will climb onto a lap or sleep next to us. When we are busy during the day, so are they! We would be so grateful if you could help us find them a new home!

PLEASE EMAIL US FOR AN APPLICATION!
