She immediately started purring, explored her new surroundings with confidence, and settled in as if shed always belonged. Even her veterinarian commented on her sweet, easygoing personality. We later discovered she had already been spayed, suggesting someone once cared for her before she somehow found herself alone.<br/><br/>Evie adores other cats. She patiently tried to befriend two senior resident cats, respecting their space when they werent interested. When a playful kitten joined the household, Evie blossomed into the perfect big sister—playing, grooming, teaching manners, and watching over him with incredible patience.<br/><br/>She is affectionate without being demanding and simply enjoys being near her people. Whether youre relaxing on the couch, working, or cooking dinner, Evie is happy to keep you company. She loves curling up beside you and, once she trusts you, may even choose your lap. She melts for belly rubs, enjoys being brushed, tolerates nail trims beautifully, and has excellent litter box manners.<br/><br/>Evie would thrive in a loving indoor home with another friendly cat to keep her company and of course, she would love to be adopted with Sylvester. <br/><br/>If youre looking for a gentle, loyal companion with a playful side, Evie may be your perfect match. <br/><br/>The first step in our adoption process is the application which can be found on our website lapcats.org.<br/><br/>All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are vaccinated. If they have been rescued as kittens under 4 months, they will not have a rabies vaccine. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped. <br/><br/>We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag! We do not do out of state adoptions for the safety of our cats.
