Evelyn's Story

Sweet petite lap cat Evelyn is as affectionate as they come! After finding herself dumped on the street, she spent many months trying to find the right human to help her. She suffered raising two known litters of kittens on the streets with no shelter or steady source of food before she finally found the right human to ask for help from. Her sad struggle is thankfully now behind her and she is ready to make someone special’s home a true home with her strong and steady love!

Familiar Hearts Animal Society's Adoption Policy
We always have potential adopters fill out our adoption application first so we can first vet them and make sure we approve of them as adopters before then inviting them to meet the animal(s) they are interested in. We feel this not only saves time for our fosters, it helps us get to know the applicant better and better be able to match them with the potential pet that is best for them. We always make sure everyone has a lot of time to deeply consider the adoption before finalizing it. The adoption is considered finalized after the adoption contract is reviewed and signed and the fee is paid. We then tranfer all the vet records and microchip information to the new family. We also offer behavioral support before and after adoption and one free training session with our dog trainer for dog adopters.
