She came from a cat colony over a year ago and bears a small reminder of her past with a frostbitten ear. A BB pellet was also removed from her ear by a vet. Despite everything, she has remained incredibly kind and nurturing. When Beverly gave birth to her kittens, Ethel stayed by her side the entire time, even grooming her during labor. She helped care for the kittens as if they were her own, showing endless patience and affection. This doesn't mean she will be sick forever, she just may be more prone to URI symptoms secondary to stressful events.<br/><br/>Beverly is a sweet, social cat who loves to play, nap, and rub up against your legs for attention. Beverly enjoys sleeping in bed with her people and can often be found curled up beside Ethel or grooming her. She also loves basking in sunny windows and watching the world go by.<br/><br/>Beverly has a medium energy level and strikes a wonderful balance between playful and relaxed. She enjoys interactive time but is just as happy sitting next to you on the couch or bird-watching from a cozy perch. While she loves attention, she prefers not to be held.<br/><br/>Beverly has been through a lot and deserves a calm, caring home. After raising five kittens and ensuring they all found loving families, she faced ongoing health issues that were eventually traced to a large polyp. Since having it removed, she is breathing comfortably and feeling much better.<br/><br/>Ethel and Beverly currently live in a busy home with two adults, three children, and two dogs. They would love to find a forever home together where they are the only cats. While Ethel can tolerate dogs, she prefers to keep her distance and would be happiest in a home without them, or with very calm dogs who respect her space. They would do best in a home with older children who understand the importance of keeping doors closed, as she enjoys watching the outdoors. <br/><br/>Together, Ethel and Beverly share an incredible bond shaped by everything they have been through. They are deeply devoted to one another and bring out the best in each other.
