Ester's Story

Ester is a very special girl. She came to Paws with one kitten of her own. Then someone brought a litter of newborns who lost their mama, so we gave the kittens to Ester. She fed and raised all seven kittens like her own.<br/>She is spayed now. But she loves playing with all the young kittens we have at the shelter. <br/>She's sweet, calm, quiet, and gets along with everybody.

Plumas Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)'s Adoption Policy

PAWS has an application to be completed prior to adoption approval. If you are renting your home, we require verification from your landlord that cats are allowed. Our policy is not to adopt to anyone who declaws or who does not spay or neuter their pets. Our adoption fee is $50 for a spayed or neutered cat. If the cat or kitten has not been spayed or neutered, the fee is $100 with $50 refunded when we receive proof the animal has been altered. We do the first FVRCP vaccinations as well. We do take cats back if for some reason the situation does not work out.
